Theme options

Zeiter supports three appearance modes:

Mode	Behavior
Light	Always uses the light color scheme
Dark	Always uses the dark color scheme
System	Follows your operating system preference and switches automatically

Switching themes

1. Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner.
2. Hover the Theme entry to open the submenu.
3. Pick Light, Dark, or System.

The active option is highlighted, and the icon next to the Theme label updates to reflect your current choice.

How your preference is saved

Your selection is stored in your browser’s local storage under the key zeiter-theme. It persists across page reloads and browser restarts.

When set to System, Zeiter listens for changes to your OS dark-mode preference and updates in real time — no reload needed.

Note

Theme preference is per-browser, not per-account. If you use Zeiter on multiple devices, set the theme on each one separately.
