Appearance
The Appearance section in Account Settings lets you personalize the app surface with a background image and a translucent glass effect. These preferences are saved to your account and follow you across browsers and devices.
To switch to the Theme color mode (light, dark, system), see Themes.
Background mode
Section titled “Background mode”Pick one of three modes:
| Mode | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Off | No background image. Solid surface color. |
| Both themes | One image is used for both light and dark themes. |
| Separate | Different images per theme (light/dark). |
Choosing a background
Section titled “Choosing a background”- Open the Appearance section in Account Settings.
- Click any preset thumbnail (Mountains, Ocean, Forest, Desert, Aurora, Cityscape, Abstract, Minimal, Gradient).
- Or click Upload to use your own image.
In Separate mode, you pick a Light background and a Dark background independently. Switching themes also swaps the background.
Opacity
Section titled “Opacity”Two sliders — Light opacity and Dark opacity — control how strongly the image shows through the interface. Lower opacity means the image is more visible.
Glass effect
Section titled “Glass effect”The Glass effect toggle controls whether interface surfaces (cards, dialogs, menus) appear translucent.
- On — surfaces use a soft, blurred glass look.
- Off — surfaces are solid.
Saving changes
Section titled “Saving changes”Changes save automatically as you adjust controls. There is no explicit Save button.
