Mobile Experience

On small screens, Zeiter switches to a mobile-optimized layout with a day-based view, a floating action button for the timer, and a bottom tab bar for navigation.

The bottom tab bar replaces the desktop sidebar. It shows icons for each main section (Timer, Reports, Settings) with the active tab highlighted and labeled.

When a timer is running, the tab bar shows the live elapsed time and a stop button inline, so you can monitor and stop the timer from any screen.

Instead of a full week grid, mobile shows a day-by-day view:

  1. A week navigation bar with left/right arrows lets you move between weeks.
  2. A day strip at the top shows all 7 days of the week as selectable tabs. Today is highlighted.
  3. Below, the entries for the selected day appear as tappable cards.

Swipe left or right on the entry area to switch between days.

Tap the floating action button (+ icon) to open the entry sheet. When a timer is running, the FAB expands to show the project monogram, elapsed time, and a stop button.

The entry sheet slides up from the bottom and supports the same three modes as desktop:

  • Timer — start/stop a live timer
  • Range — enter start and end times
  • Duration — enter hours, minutes, and seconds

It also includes fields for description, project, tags, and billable status.

Tap any entry card in the day view to open the entry sheet pre-filled with that entry’s data. From there you can update any field or delete the entry.

The top bar shows your profile avatar on the left (tap to open the menu with workspace switcher, account settings, and sign out) and language/theme toggles on the right.
