Onboarding
After signing in for the first time, Zeiter walks you through a two-step onboarding wizard.
Step 1 — Workspace setup
Section titled “Step 1 — Workspace setup”Choose a workspace type
Section titled “Choose a workspace type”Select one of two options:
- Personal — for individual time tracking.
- Team — for tracking time with collaborators. Selecting this reveals invite options (see below).
Name your workspace
Section titled “Name your workspace”Give your workspace a name. This is shown in the sidebar and in invitation emails.
Invite your team (Team workspaces only)
Section titled “Invite your team (Team workspaces only)”When you select Team, two invite methods appear:
- Invite by email — type an email address and press Enter or comma to add it. You can queue up multiple addresses. Invitations are sent when you continue to the next step.
- Join URL — a shareable link is generated automatically. Copy it and send it to anyone who should be able to request access. People who open this link will submit a join request that you approve from Settings.
Step 2 — Security (passkey)
Section titled “Step 2 — Security (passkey)”You are offered the option to register a passkey for faster, passwordless sign-in.
- Click Set up passkey.
- Follow your device prompt (fingerprint, Face ID, security key, etc.).
- A green confirmation appears once the passkey is saved.
This step is optional. Click Launch app to skip it and start using Zeiter. You can add a passkey later from Settings > Security.
